SCREW OUTBOLTS AND NUTS

A FIELD GUIDE TO THE CRAZYGAMES BUILD

Screw Out, bolt by bolt

The client is a colour-sorting puzzle in a pool of water. This site records the rules it actually enforces, frame by frame, and marks the parts we have not reached.

What this game is

Five coloured screws stand on grey pegs under a logo. Behind them is a sheet of paper covered in outlines of screwdrivers, spanners and nuts. Press into a level and the same paper appears as the margin of a strip of water, where green plates are bolted together.

The goal is stated by the client itself, in a tutorial bubble on the first level:

"Fill all the containers to pass the level."

Everything else follows from that sentence. Every screw you take off has a colour, every container has a colour, and a screw only leaves the board when it has somewhere of its own colour to go.

The four things this guide covers

How this site is written

Every page carries a plate: one frame from the build, with the date it was taken and a line saying what it proves. Where we have not seen a thing, the page says so in a Not tested list rather than guessing. That is the whole method: the client is the source, and a claim without a frame behind it does not go on the page.

What we have done so far

One level, cleared, with the completion screen captured: LEVEL COMPLETED!, a coin worth 100, and a green Next button. That run is documented in /levels/ with ten frames. The second level and everything about it is still ahead of us.

Who this is for

If you opened the game, pressed around for a minute and closed it, the containers probably looked random. They are not. The order in which you take screws is the whole puzzle, and the client tells you the rules once, in two bubbles, and never again. This guide exists to keep those two sentences where you can find them.
