SCREW OUTBOLTS AND NUTS

A FIELD GUIDE TO THE CRAZYGAMES BUILD

Six words this guide uses

Every rule on this site is written with the same six words. This page says what each one points at, so a sentence about a wave is not a matter of interpretation.

The level 1 HUD with a yellow container holding one screw, a red container with three empty circles, the play button and four brown spare holes.
What this shows four of the six words in one frame: container, counter, play button, spare holes. Captured 2026-11-07 Client web build 2026-11-07 Plate 17

Screw

The coloured fastener on a plate. The client draws them with a cross slot, in eight or so colours. Clicking one removes it. That is the only action in the game.

Container

The rounded box in the HUD row with three circles in it. Its frame is the colour it accepts. When the third screw of that colour lands, the whole container disappears and the level's progress arc grows.

Wave

One set of containers on screen at a time. Level 1 runs three waves (yellow, then red, then blue plus brown). The wave changes only when the previous one is completely filled, which is why the HUD can show two containers for a whole level and then three more you have not seen yet.

Spare hole

The loose circles under the container row. There are four. A screw whose colour has no container parks in one, and the tutorial says what happens when they are all full: "If all the additional holes are filled, you will lose." A parked screw shows its own colour, so a hole is not simply "filled" or "empty" but "holding a purple screw".

Plate

Any coloured slab the screws are screwed into: a green triangle, a purple stem, a blue hexagon, an orange square, a pink diamond. Plates hold several screws, overlap each other, and fall away when their screws are gone. A plate still on the board can hide screws underneath it.

Counter

The little number badge. It appears three times on screen and means three different things: in the container row the counters are slots, in the spare row they are holes, and in the tool tray they are how many of that tool you own. Reading them as one number is the most common way to misread a frame.

What the words deliberately avoid

We do not say "level" for a plate, "slot" for a container, or "lives" for the spare holes. Each of those borrows from a different genre and would imply mechanics we have not seen.
