A FIELD GUIDE TO THE CRAZYGAMES BUILD
Level 6: four rings of plate, and no obvious outside
Every earlier board had a silhouette you could start from the edge of. This one does not: it is rings inside rings.
What changes on entry
-
The container row holds yellow and blue, three slots each, both empty.
-
There are four spare holes, back down from the five of levels 4 and 7.
-
The board is concentric: a purple ring on the outside, then a green scalloped ring, then an orange scalloped ring, and a yellow disc in the middle with a small orange circle at its centre.
Why the edge is gone
-
On levels 1 to 5 the outermost plate had a free edge you could work along. Here the outermost ring is itself a closed band, and the ring inside it overlaps it at every scallop.
-
The practical consequence is that the first move cannot be chosen by looking for a corner. Whatever you pick, you are picking one point on a ring whose neighbours are also on the ring.
Reading the row
- Six screws of two colours is the row's capacity, against a board carrying at least eight colours. The four spare holes are the only slack, which is one fewer than level 5's neighbour levels.
How this frame was taken
Frame f01330 of the recording, taken shortly after the level-6 board settled: both containers empty, no spare hole used, no plate moved.
Counting what is on the board
The board is dense enough that we did not count every screw by hand, but the ring structure is countable: one outer band, two scalloped bands, one disc and one small centre circle. That is five plate layers, against three on level 1 and five on level 4. If the count of layers is what the build uses to scale difficulty, level 6 is where it starts to look deliberate rather than incidental.
Not tested
- Whether the rings must be cleared outside-in, or in any order.
- The colours that replace yellow and blue when each container fills.
- Whether the small orange circle at the centre is a plate or decoration.
- Whether the scalloped rings are one plate each or a set of segments.
- The exact screw count on this board; the frame is dense enough that we did not count it by hand.
